FastWave Sola is an investigational coronary laser lithotripsy system for calcified artery disease.
FastWave Sola, also referred to as Sola L-IVL, is the company's laser intravascular lithotripsy (L-IVL) system developed for calcified coronary artery disease. It uses a low-profile actuating single-emitter design intended to improve crossability in challenging coronary lesions and delivers 360-degree circumferential sonic output at a high pulse rate.
FastWave reports a 30-patient coronary first-in-human feasibility study with 96.4% procedural success and IVUS/OCT-confirmed calcium fracture, and anticipates an FDA coronary IDE pivotal trial in 2027. It is an investigational device limited to investigational use.
