FlexSim HC is a dedicated 3D discrete event simulation environment for healthcare facilities, built to model patient flow and evaluate operational changes in a patient-centered virtual environment. Its patient process-flow builder supplies pre-designed activity types, milestones, stochastic distributions, and criteria-based resource selection, so care pathways can be represented without custom programming.

Analytics dashboards report waiting times, staff utilization, and care milestones, while an Experimenter tool supports multi-scenario comparison and optional optimization. FlexSim HC is developed and sold by FlexSim Software Products, Inc., which has operated within Autodesk, Inc. since the 2023 acquisition. It is used by hospitals, clinics, and health-system planning teams, and a free express edition is offered for trial use.
