FFRCT Analysis by Heartflow — Product Research | aVenture Research
FFRCT Analysis applies computational fluid dynamics to a standard coronary CT angiography scan to build a patient-specific three-dimensional model of the coronary arteries and calculate a non-invasive fractional flow reserve value at each point along the vessel tree. The color-coded output distinguishes anatomically narrowed vessels that also restrict blood flow from those that do not, letting a physician evaluate lesion-specific physiology without a catheterization lab procedure.
The analysis is delivered through an interactive report that a physician can review to plan next steps and is billed under a dedicated category one CPT code accepted by United States public and private payers. It functions as a companion read to Heartflow's plaque-composition product, adding a functional-significance layer to the anatomical findings drawn from the same CT scan.
