aVenture Investment Company ("aVenture") is an independent research platform providing detailed analysis and data on startups, venture capital investments, and key industry individuals. Memo

OuterSignal combines customer research with activation inside tools that consumer brands already use. Its intelligence supports influencer discovery, VIP outreach, lifecycle messaging, advertising audiences, and merchandising analysis. The product connects enriched customer attributes to configurable playbooks so teams can act on signals without manually moving each record.

The Series A announcement identifies investment in the research engine, personalized message generation, and team growth across engineering and customer-facing functions. Monocle adds AI-controlled retention journeys, while Mona provides chat-based email drafting within the same Shopify developer portfolio. These offerings address different steps between understanding a customer and delivering a relevant message.

Product Overview

OuterSignal connects commerce and CRM records with public information to build profiles of individual customers. Its Signal Feed supports customer search and filtering, while AI-generated personas organize enriched profiles into audiences. VIP detection identifies notable buyers and sends alerts through Slack and email.

The platform exports customer attributes and persona tags to marketing tools including Klaviyo and Meta Ads. Playbooks trigger alerts, customer tagging, audience updates, and webhooks when configured signals appear. Historical search processes existing customer lists, while new orders can be enriched as they arrive.

Pricing Strategy

OuterSignal's Starter plan costs $49 monthly plus three cents per unique customer and targets stores with fewer than 1,000 monthly orders. Pro costs $199 monthly plus the same customer-processing charge and targets stores with fewer than 10,000 monthly orders. Starter includes one integration and one automated playbook, while Pro offers unlimited integrations and playbooks.

The Scale tier covers stores with 10,000 or more monthly orders through sales-assisted pricing and onboarding. OuterSignal charges only once to process a customer, so repeat orders from that customer do not incur another processing charge. The pricing page offers free trials for Starter and Pro rather than requiring an enterprise sales conversation for every buyer.
