Parrot develops software for day-to-day restaurant operations in Mexico. Its ParrotConnect point-of-sale system centralizes dine-in, takeaway and delivery orders, including integrations with Uber Eats, Rappi and DiDi Food, and bundles kitchen display screens, inventory and recipe management, staff time tracking and owner reporting through a companion mobile app, while the Parrot Pay terminal reconciles each card charge to its order. A public API lets restaurants connect their own systems.
The company was founded in Monterrey by Roberto Cebrian and David Villarreal, and was part of the Y Combinator Summer 2020 batch. It raised a 2.1 million dollar seed in late 2020 and a 9.5 million dollar Series A led by F-Prime Capital in January 2022. Serving hundreds of restaurant locations through its legal entity S3 Software, S.A. de C.V., Parrot earns subscription revenue for the platform and transaction revenue through payment processing.
