A monoclonal antibody that inhibits IL-4R signaling, approved for atopic dermatitis and other inflammatory conditions.
Dupixent (dupilumab) is a human monoclonal antibody that blocks the shared receptor component for interleukin-4 and interleukin-13, inhibiting signaling of both cytokines. It is approved for the treatment of moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis, asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, eosinophilic esophagitis, and prurigo nodularis.
Developed by Regeneron and marketed by Sanofi, Dupixent has become a standard of care for multiple type 2 inflammatory diseases and is one of the leading biologics for atopic dermatitis worldwide.
