Simcenter Prescan is Siemens' physics-based simulation software for the virtual verification of advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous vehicles. It combines scenario creation, sensor models, control-system interfaces, and experiment orchestration so engineers can replicate real-world traffic situations and test perception, sensor fusion, decision-making, and control algorithms virtually.

The platform supports the full development V-cycle from component-level simulation to hardware-in-the-loop and large-scale scenario validation. Its workflow covers scenario authoring, ego-vehicle and sensor configuration, experiment execution across platforms, and automated parameter variation for roads, actors, weather, lighting, and sensor setups.
