Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation

The Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation (EWVCF) is a community foundation headquartered at 127 Crimson Circle in Martinsburg, West Virginia, with a second office in Romney. The foundation builds endowed funds and makes grants to nonprofit organizations serving Berkeley, Hampshire, Hardy, Jefferson, and Morgan counties, and it celebrated thirty years of grantmaking in 2025-2026. Its grantmaking vehicles include affiliated funds and the Two Rivers Giving Circle, named for the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers.

Beyond competitive grant cycles such as the Eastern Panhandle CARE Fund's healthcare grants, the foundation partners with the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle on regional initiatives and helps donors aged 70 and a half and older direct qualified charitable distributions from IRAs to endowed funds benefiting Eastern Panhandle charitable organizations. Staff administer the foundation's programs from the Martinsburg and Romney offices.
