Console is a San Francisco AI-native IT service management platform company acquired by Palo Alto Networks.
Console sells an AI-native IT service management platform organized around five pillars: request intake, a knowledge base, access policies, playbooks, and native ITSM capability. The pillars sit on a Context Graph that models a customer's people, systems, and policies, and intake runs where employees already work, including Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, and email.
The company describes a catalog of more than 600 integrations and ships modules named AI Service Desk, Proactive Playbooks, Access Governance, Asset Management, and Console Assistant, the last acting as a conversational assistant for IT questions and actions.
Gartner tags Digital Workplace Operations Automation as Transformational with two to five years to mainstream adoption, which keeps AI IT service management in an early but rapidly legitimizing phase. The category is consolidating quickly: ServiceNow acquired Moveworks for $2.85 billion in March 2025, and Console itself became Palo Alto Networks' seventh purchase of 2026.
Independent AI help-desk entrants continue to compete for the same buyers, including Serval, Risotto, Atomicwork, Espressive, Aisera, and Fixify, so buyer choice is widening even as larger platforms absorb the category's early leaders.
Console's strongest published evidence is customer-reported automation outcomes: Webflow reports 87 percent of IT requests auto-resolved, Scale AI moved from 15 percent to 57 percent, Synthesia reports 75 percent, and Bloomerang reports 50 to 60 percent deflection while its CSAT rose from 84 percent to 94 percent. Cursor runs its IT function with a four-person team supporting roughly 750 employees.
Analyst recognition adds a second proof point: Gartner named Console a Sample Vendor in its 2026 Hype Cycle for AI in ITSM under the Digital Workplace Operations Automation category, placing the company inside an analyst-defined market frame alongside far larger incumbents.
Console's own comparison page concedes the gaps against ServiceNow: it is not a CMDB or an ITOM suite and does not match ServiceNow's event correlation, GRC tooling, or change advisory board machinery. Intake is limited to chat and email, which narrows fit for enterprises that need phone, portal, or field-service channels.
Funding depth is another constraint relative to the nearest comparable: TechCrunch named Serval as the better-funded rival, with a $75M Series B at a $1 billion valuation, while Console's disclosed venture rounds total $29.2M before its acquisition.
