Overview

MAURER's tuned mass damper line serves structures with low inherent damping, where wind or earthquake loads drive substantial vibration amplitudes in high-rise buildings, towers, and chimney stacks. Each unit is custom-designed for its host, with a spring calibrated to the structure's natural frequency and mass sized to the relevant modal mass.

Passive variants include vertical (MTMD-V), horizontal (MTMD-H), and pendulum (MTMD-P) types, plus an adaptive TMD whose real-time regulation improves vibration reduction by 60 to 80 percent while cutting required mass to 75 to 85 percent of nominal. Services cover measurement, planning, simulation, installation, testing, and monitoring of frequency and mass displacement.
