Star Catcher Industries is a Jacksonville, Florida-based space infrastructure company building an orbital energy grid it calls the Star Catcher Network. Using optical power beaming, the system transmits concentrated solar energy directly to satellites' existing solar arrays, which the company says can raise a satellite's available power by up to 10x without hardware modifications. The company reports it holds the world record for optical power beaming and is bringing its technology stack to orbit.
The company sells power through purchase agreements with satellite operators across connectivity, computing, and national-security applications, with customers and partners it names including Mission Space, Astro Digital, Loft Orbital, Starcloud, Satlyt, Aethero, and government programs run through AFWERX and Space Florida. Star Catcher raised a $65 million Series A in May 2026 following a $22.9 million seed round, and operates from Jacksonville, Florida.
