Google's in-car experience that mirrors Android phone apps — navigation, messages, media, and assistant — on the car display.
Currently Offered
Android Auto connects a compatible Android phone to a car's built-in display or supported aftermarket stereo, wired or wirelessly, so drivers can use navigation, calls, messaging, music, and smart-home apps through car controls and voice. The 2026 generation adds Gemini as the on-screen assistant, AI message summaries, EV charging trip planning, and expanded third-party app categories.
The app is free and built into Android 10 and later, and it works with more than 500 vehicle models across 44 countries, along with aftermarket head units from JVC, Kenwood, and Pioneer.
Adds products that compete with one of Android Auto’s direct competitors but not with Android Auto itself. They are shaded, and Linked Through names the direct competitor each one competes with.
