Clef is a family of open-weight decision models from Cloudflare, published under Apache 2.0 and built on Qwen backbones. The models read state and typed questions and return choices, scores, and probabilities, accept images alongside text, and follow the same API format as TypeSafe's Jev.
Unlike hosted decision APIs, Clef runs on Cloudflare Workers AI or self-hosted hardware, and the family pairs a 27B model with a faster 9B Clef-flash variant for latency-sensitive routing and classification workloads.
