DEICON's Computer Controlled Air Isolation System is a semi-active air-spring mounting that switches isolation states on demand.
DEICON's Computer Controlled Semi-Active Air Isolation System mounts machinery on air springs whose stiffness and damping are adjusted under PLC supervision. Originally developed for diesel generators and other machinery on luxury yachts and mobile platforms, it also serves stationary equipment subject to vibration, shock, and random vibration.
The control system switches automatically between soft and highly underdamped for vibration isolation, soft and lightly damped for shock isolation, and stiff for installation integrity. American Bureau of Shipping awarded the system a Product Design Assessment certificate, pre-approving it for use across a range of ABS class ships.
