Overview

Stripe Billing manages pricing, reduces churn, and grows revenue for subscription and usage-based businesses. It supports subscriptions, metering up to 200K events/sec, invoicing, e-invoicing, tax calculation, revenue recognition (ASC 606/IFRS 15), and Smart Retries. The Metronome acquisition (2025) added advanced usage-based billing orchestration. Recognized by Forrester and Gartner in billing leadership.

Key features include automatic proration handling, customer portal for self-serve subscription management, multi-currency and multi-tax support, and integration with Stripe Payments for end-to-end billing workflows.
