Mama Cash, founded in Amsterdam in 1983, is the oldest international women's fund and a Dutch public-benefit organization dedicated to advancing the human rights of women, girls, trans, and intersex people globally. It supports more than 130 initiatives each year led by the communities it funds, combining grantmaking with accompaniment, knowledge sharing, and networking.
The fund grants to self-led groups working on structural change and under-addressed issues from a feminist, women's, girls', trans, or intersex rights perspective, with some of its funds accessible only by nomination. Its cumulative grantmaking to groups led by women, girls, and trans and intersex people has exceeded EUR 92 million.
