Blackrock Neurotech's MoveAgain is an implantable brain-computer interface that places a microelectrode array in the motor cortex to decode neuronal firing patterns into commands for external devices — including mouse cursors, keyboards, wheelchairs, and prosthetic limbs. The system enables users to type at up to 90 characters per minute and received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation in November 2021, targeting the approximately 5.35 million Americans living with paralysis.

MoveAgain's platform draws on 25 years of human BCI studies, more than 30,000 implant-days of data, and over 2,000 peer-reviewed publications. Blackrock's NeuroPort Neural Signal Processor records up to 512 channels simultaneously and supports research in more than 1,000 laboratories across 53 countries, with clinical participants demonstrating thought-directed control of robotic arms, email, and everyday tasks.
