The NeuroPort Array is a 10×10 silicon microelectrode array built on the Utah Array platform, FDA-cleared via 510(k) for human use since 2004. Its 96 active electrodes on a 400-micrometer pitch come in 1.0 mm or 1.5 mm lengths with platinum (100–800 kΩ) or SIROF (≤50 kΩ at 1 kHz) tips; SIROF electrodes connect via a skull-mounted CerePort pedestal and have demonstrated functional longevity exceeding eight years in human patients.

Since introduction, the platform has accumulated over 30,000 aggregate in-patient days with zero reported serious adverse events and underpinned more than 1,000 peer-reviewed publications. Researchers use it for intracortical neurophysiology, neuroprosthetics, sensory restoration, and epilepsy monitoring, and its support for both chronic recording and cortical stimulation through the same shanks makes it suitable for bidirectional brain-computer interface applications.
